Made me want to hug the book. Hug the dog, the girl, embrace that home, participate, laugh, almost want to cry but didn’t cause it felt so close to my heart it wasn’t necesssary.
That book is beautiful.. a classic.. we are honoring Eikoh Hosoe this Thursday night
at the National Arts Club in New York City… May 6th! and Betty Jean Lifton is speaking..
What an honor….for us.

Thank you for placing this book here! Taka Chan and I was a favorite childhood book of mine. Now that I have my own 3 year old son I’ve been looking for a reasonable priced copy with no luck. Now we can enjoy the book online.
I too remember this book, and it was one of my favorite although be it almost 30 years ago. For years I have been looking for this book, but could never remember the title. I could remember the girl and the dragon, but somehow forgot the dog. Once I found the book title, and then found this, I was able to put it all together. I have also found out that it is going to be reprinted, and released in March 2012 (and at a reasonable price — check Amazon).
Absolutamente maravilhoso!
