Advance copies of Broken Manual

Posted in Bookstore by LBM on November 3, 2010

Along with the various LBM offerings, we’ll be selling advance copies of the trade edition of Alec Soth’s forthcoming Steidl book, Broken Manual, at the NY Art Book Fair (Nov. 5-7). Soth will be at the booth on Thursday the 5th and the early afternoon of the 6th to sign copies. Please note that the book isn’t officially released until next year and supplies are limited (one per customer).

Another kick in the face for those unable to attend the Art Book Fair! Very jealous of all those that will be.

Well done LBM. Can’t wait for all this swag to appear in the store.

excuse me, but there is an error in the post: “Thursday the 5th” – today, the 4th, is Thursday. Friday is the 5th. Could you clarify which days the photographer will be there?

Was just wondering, will the edition of the book that comes out next year be different to this ‘trade’ edition?

Jon – sorry about the mistake on the dates. Soth is gone, but he signed the few copies we have remaining of Broken Manual.

Chris – this is the exact same book that will be released next year. We just had some advance copies.

That’s unfortunate, because I already ordered and own a copy and was going to bring mine and have it signed tomorrow afternoon.
